Dr James Eglinton is Meldrum Lecturer in Reformed Theology at New College, the University of Edinburgh. He was born and raised in Inverness, and studied law at the University of Aberdeen, and theology at the Free Church College. He holds a PhD in systematic theology from the University of Edinburgh. Prior to his appointment at New College, he spent three years working at the Theologische Universiteit Kampen in the Netherlands, where he was senior researcher in systematic and historical theology. He is a member of St Columba’s Free Church in Edinburgh, is married, and has four small children.
