Education and training

The RCRT is open to invitations from churches, whether locally or nationally, to help promote biblical and theological thinking, either in general terms or concerning specific issues or needs. The RCRT will continue engaging with church members, elders, and ministers to help them think biblically and theologically. This will be done in various ways, including the following.

Books on a shelf

The RCRT provides resources. In earlier days, this included publishing Christian books and pamphlets on key issues. Today RCRT provides elders training through in-person or online sessions and has produced an accompanying DVD which is available from our online store.

Further training opportunities are also being considered.

With the growing calls for assisted suicide, RCRT has created a helpful article reflecting on euthanasia from a Christian standpoint.

Organising training. The RCRT will continue to engage with churches, providing education and training for members, elders, and ministers. Perhaps the most significant contribution in the near future will be the education and training of elders to lead worship and preach, a significant need due to the shortage of ministers, particularly in rural areas.
