Welcome to the website of the Rutherford Centre for Reformed Theology.  RCRT is the new name for the work of Rutherford House, which was based in Edinburgh for 35 years but has now moved to Dingwall.

Despite the change of name and the change of location, the core vision remains the same.  The first warden of Rutherford House, the Rev Dr Nigel M. de S. Cameron, described the vision in the ‘Rutherford House’ entry in the Dictionary of Scottish Church History and Theology.  He said that it had been established, ‘for the scholarly defence and promotion of orthodox Christianity’.  He went on to say that, ‘The House’s developing ministry is increasingly concerned with the continuing education and formation of ministers and elders, the promotion of evangelical church life and the maintenance of an evangelical testimony in national church debates’.

RCRT will continue that vision for scholarship, education and the promotion of orthodoxy under the three strands of its work:

Strand One: Research & Writing

Strand Two: Education & Training

Strand Three: Promoting the Reformed Faith
